Under the current theory, an experience is just the process of responding to a representation vehicle, thus completing a “representation”. This response could be simply the creation of a memory of creating the vehicle. Frequently, however, there are multiple responses besides the memory. Emotional responses (I think) are responses which have general systemic effects, usually instigated by release of hormones. Some of the responses are likely to trigger other representations, resulting in possible further responses. The total set of responses would constitute the “feeling” associated with the experience.
I propose an experience, thus defined, constitutes the psychule, the minimum unit of consciousness.
